The new sailing project OptiOrange International Regatta, organized by Sailing Academy of Saint Petersburg Yacht Club and Real Club Nautico de Valencia, supported by the Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Valencia Region and AMICS Association, took place at the premises of Valencia Training Center from March 7 to 11, 2018. A small orange Naranjito became the mascot of the competition.

Maxim Shaposhnikov and Alisa Kodaneva Became the Winners in the Final Standing of OptiOrange 2018 Regatta in Optimist Class
64 sportsmen from Russia and Spain participated in the regatta. According to the idea of the organizers, the regatta should become a great platform for experience sharing between the trainers and young sportsmen, as well as for trainings in winter season, in the wonderful conditions of the Spanish coast.
The Second Day of OptiOrange Tested Young Sportsmen with Squally Wind
The second day of OptiOrange international regatta brought two more exciting races to young sportsmen, which scores were counted, and a very interesting race at the end of the day, which was stopped 30 meters before the finish, but first things first. Young sportsmen charged themselves with Vitamin C in the morning, as the sweetest oranges in the world grow here in Valencia, and approximately at noon the sportsmen went afloat. The first race took place with 8-knot wind and the fight for places in Top Four reached rock button.

The OptiOrange regatta on the Optimist class yachts started in Valencia
The international OptiOrange regatta has started in the facilities of Real Club Nautico yacht club in Valencia today. The regatta was organized by Sailing Academy of St. Petersburg Yacht Club. According to the idea of the organizers, this winter event will be held on a regular basis and will unite young European athletes annually. 62 young athletes from Russia and Spain came to race in this regatta on the Optimist class yachts this year.
